What is Entrust?
Entrust flows from 2 Timothy 2:1-2.
Our Aim:
"To Entrust the Gospel to Christians who will be equipped and encouraged to disciple others."
How does Entrust work?
Entrust requires a commitment of 1 day per week (Wednesday) for 8 weeks during the school term. The course comprises a first year and second year component to the 2 year curriculum.
Get Encouraged
As God's people we don't want to just analyse God's Word but listen to it, tremble at it and be changed by it.
Get It All
The Bible is all about Jesus. We want to understand how we can see Jesus correctly in each part of the Bible.
Get It Right
The Bible comes to us as a book. With any book there are skills that you will need to read & understand it correctly.
Get It Across
Here we will focus on how to communicate the Bible to others whilst also looking at key doctrines and ethics.
Get Practical
Each week the participants get an opportunity to put new skills into practice, including giving Bible talks.
What is covered during Entrust?
Throughout the 2 years of Entrust many different books of the Bible, doctrines, different topics, and practical skills will be covered. Some of these are:
How to read and understand the 7 major genres found in the Bible (e.g. NT Gospels, OT Poetry etc)
A Gospel overview & Bible overview • Different books of the Bible (especially Exodus, Isaiah, Romans, Ephesians, Hebrews, 1 John, Revelation & others)
Key Doctrines (e.g. God, Church, Revelation etc)
Practical Skills for preaching, teaching, disciple making and evangelism
Key movements in Church History
Ethics (e.g. Sex, Marriage, Money etc)
